We have two located within a 10 minute walk from our front door. Now if I can just convince a certain someone I know who plays piano beautifully to tickle some ivories!
I think it would be great if you could get that guy to play on one of those pianos. If he were still 20 he might do it as he thought the guy playing the piano on Main Street USA in Disney World was having fun. It's probably not going to happen, but if he changes his mind, please get a video for us to enjoy! Have you actually seen anyone playing one of the pianos near your apartment? The last time I remember playing in public w/o being in a band was at a restaurant in Newport, RI. My friends talked me into playing but when I started the clientele threw ice at me. They were a rather rude bunch.
Yes, I've seen all ages and types playing these pianos at various locations throughout the city. Really a great idea and piece of "art". I will be sad to see them go...
