I'm not looking to re-matriculate any day soon, but I do give this idea an A+:
P.S. 90, a 104 year old Harlem school long abandoned, is being converted into condos. The renderings are beautiful and the design is stunning.

I walked by it the other day. Rough neighborhood but it is quite a beautiful sight.
I wonder who gets to live in detention hall?
That's a very interesting site. I wonder how much that unit that is pictured costs. Even though the neighborhood is bleak, I'll bet the asking price is still over $1M. The building must be well constructed since it's so old and didn't require demolition and reconstruction.
ReplyDeleteRanges from $450,000-$849,000 (plus maintenance fees). For New York City, that is actually quite low but as I mentioned, the neighborhood is still pretty rough and tumble. They do have a Starbucks, though...!
ReplyDeleteisn't that near the apartment? that's pretty cool use of old space! yay for sustainability! :)
