I'm thinking of starting a Likes of Lucy - New York Style...places I've explored, gotten to know, and feel fondly about...all in the big bad apple.

This is one of them.

Anyone know where this mystery location is?

Good Eggs

After a week full of frustrations and aches, I decided to start this new week off by focusing on some of the good acts people do that make life that much sweeter.

The FedEx carrier who decided to try and "hide" my package in case a thief would strike.

"Nobody here but us door mats..."

The man at a busy coffee shop who was not a table-hog.

Notepad reads: "You can totally sit here if you'd like!"

The friend who gets you out of town and around a bonfire.

"Pass the s'mores fixins, please!"

The train conductor who gives you a wave after a safe and on time journey home.

Next stop - Kindnesstown.

The co-worker who treats you to a day at the club (and a margarita):

Another day at the office...

Put A Cork In It

If you are anything like me, you enjoy sharing a decent bottle of wine, beer, or bubbly with family and friends. Or just yourself if it has been a really rough day.

If you are even more like me, you feel oh-so-guilty tossing the cork in the trash. So here is something I like to do instead.

Jot down the date, occasion, or any remembrance that went along with the imbibing. Toss it in a vase or glass vessel. 

Just to clarify: "Twilight" marks a Twilight Picnic in the Park, not the movie Twilight. I don't want any of you to get the wrong idea...

Once you're filled to the brim with corkage, head over to Pinterest for a myriad of crafty cork project ideas. I'm partial to the wreaths.

If you don't want to get out the glue gun, head down to your local Whole Foods, where they accept corks for recycling. You can also look at other participating recyclers in the Cork ReHarvest program.

With a Deafening Sound

After a resolve to start blogging again, a life change happened and within a breath, all I wanted to do is delete all "likes" of Lucy and never look back. 

But at some point this past week, after talking and crying with many a good egg, I decided not to be so rash, or at least not to make the decision quite yet. So please be patient with me as I try to do the best I can. I suppose there are still a lot of likes (or maybe even loves) to be found in this world.

Hello Again

Should I start a blog? Oops, I already have one!

Poor June, totally ignored, when so many wonderful things occur in the month of busting-all-over-June.

I'm back, kids! Well, I'm going to try and be back. Things are go, go, go...but I'm going to attempt to revisit some "likes" this summer.
