NaCl

My sweet tooth has gotten slightly salty as of late. Maybe it's from all of the sweat formed from 90 degree NYC days? I know, that's gross. My apologies. Back to salt...

I was first introduced to this refreshing & summery drink when I lived in Florida with these two luscious ladies:

It took me about 2 months to finally get the name right. I kept calling it the Scooby Doo, the Snoopy, the Sea Pup...I might not have known the name, but I knew it was delicious.

Excited to experiment with these salt flakes. Imagine the light texture sprinkled over a caprese salad.

I'm usually a fruity girl when it comes to Pinkberry. Don't dare ask me about their attempt to make a chocolate flavor a few years back-yikes. Bad news bears. But after hearing raves of the new salted caramel creation, I had to at least give it a lick. And it was good.

Of course, the real salt I'm craving is the one that comes from being seaside: salt air and salty ocean. The best medicine. Perhaps the Jersey Shore?

Happiness is...

Boating Besties

Headway

I know it looks likes you would whip up some eggs with it, but this simple head massager is the best.
To quote a friend, "It makes me giggle like a schoolgirl".

And said friend is not a schoolgirl.

Cat Suit

So You Think You Can Dance is already a grand jeté of entertainment, but I have to admit that I often watch the show just for Cat Deeley's quick wit and enviable style. She always seems to be having so much fun with what she does and what she wears. I once read that she does all of her own styling.

Now there's proof! A glimpse into her world backstage, In the Dressing Room with Cat Deeley, shows Cat and both her makeup artist and hairstylist scheming and playing with different looks for each episode. Most of it comes together 5 minutes before she is due onstage and you get some pretty useful tips to looking as fab as Cat.

Check them out HERE.

I can't help but notice that they have a champagne toast every night. No fair.

Summer Shoe In

For summer shoes, there are a few basic requirements: comfortable, versatile, and easily slipped on and off. After all, the optimal shoes for summer are bare feet in the grass. But when you must protect your tootsies, these are ideal.

Sooooo comfortable instantly. No wearing in needed. I want them in every color.

For kicking around. Casual at its best.

Can't go on a trip without THESE.

With the footwear taken care of, it's time for a pedicure...

Practicality

A very thoughtful relative (Let's just call her "Sparky"...) took notice of my many mentions of acquiring cupcakes in my purse and found the perfect solution to my predicament.

Voila!
Similar gadgets found on Amazon:

Not only will this keep a lovely buttercream frosting from ending up all over my keys and Metrocard, but the bottom is a silicone bake cup, making transition from oven to purse effortless.

Can't wait to test this out.
Thanks, Sparky!

No Nos

What a creative and humorous way to deter people from unwanted exits:

Of course, for the 4 year old sitting behind me, the chance of seeing dinosaurs AND crabs with his very own 4 year old eyes only encouraged his curiosity to pass through the forbidden space.

You can't say they didn't warn you.

Since we are in the neighborhood, I'd like to highly recommend the Blue Moon Cafe.

More specifically, one of these:
Cinnamon Roll

It didn't last long.
