All the Buildings in New York
Well maybe not ALL, but quite a few. A recent transplant from Australia to Brooklyn and an artist who claims "he feels horrible when he's not drawing", James Gulliver Hancock is attempting to draw every building in New York City to commemorate his move and the release of the below print. I approve.

Home For The Holidays
Nothing like being home for the holidays: familiar faces, comfort (often free) food, no huge responsibilites, freezing temps...well, at least in the Midwest!
A few things I'm looking forward to this week:
Testing out the newly released 2010 Beaujolais Nouveau. According to Wikipedia, "wine critic Karen MacNeil has compared drinking Beaujolais Nouveau to eating cookie dough". Wait--is that supposed to be a bad thing?
Family time in Iowa. Rockwell City, The Golden Buckle on the Corn Belt.
The Rafferty Clan many moons ago (I'm in the middle on the lap).

Finally making an apple pie. Probably going to follow THIS recipe's lead although I am bound to quadruple the amount of spice. That's the way I roll with pie making.
Quality dog time. As Modern Family's Gloria would say, "It's a doggy-dog world out there".
B and I are having fun with the challenge of puzzle toys. The latest play things are:
Hoping I may get a glimpse of the Dunberry Lane turkeys. Here they are in September:
My last turkey count was 26. That's a lot of bird.
It's Turkey Lurkey Time!

Mini Martha
This is such a great idea for a wee one:
This mini me kitchen originated from this:
I loved my play kitchen as a child.
Image found HERE
I made many a delicious pancake breakfast and washed numerous dishes in that green & white made-in-China plastic world of domesticity. But how cool to engineer your own design and recycle a dated piece of furniture? I have to say, I know a lot of New Yorkers who would kill for that kiddie kitchen. Afterall, it is far more equipped and massive than most city kitchens.

Homes
This:
Fort Tryon, NYC - November 2010
VS
That:
Dunberry Lane, MN - November 2010
Oh, how I love them both. Do I have to choose?
